Qualifications & Experience
Therapy Training
I completed a three year psychodynamic counselling training which involved seeing people once a week. This was followed by a psychoanalytic psychotherapy training of four years enabling me to see individuals two or three times a week. During this time I was a therapist in a residential establishment providing psychiatric care for adolescents. I worked individually with these young people and their families in family therapy.
I trained for a further two years specializing in Assessment for psychotherapy and counselling, including brief therapy, at Ealing and Charing Cross Hospitals.
Supervision Training
I have completed a Supervision Training for counsellors and psychotherapists at Leicester University. Since then I have supervised at the Harrow Counselling Service and at the Westminster Foundation for Counselling and Psychotherapy (WPF).
I have been working in private practice as a therapist and supervisor for over 20 years.
Teaching Experience
I have taught Assessment skills for psychotherapy on counselling courses throughout the uk and I have also worked in training organisations as supervisor and seminar leader for over 15 years.
I am a Registered Practitioner with BPC, BACP and SIP and am required to follow strict ethical codes and practice professional standards.
